ASHRAE Certified Building Commissioning Professional
The BCxP certification validates competency to lead, plan, coordinate and manage a commissioning team to implement commissioning processes in new and existing buildings. The BCxP validates competency in these key areas: managing commissioning projects, preparing commissioning documentation, managing training activities, completing warranty phase activities, and conducting existing and on-going commissioning . Since 2004, ASHRAE has certified 3,000+ engineers worldwide; 400+ in the USA and 38 in Florida.
Building Investigations
When trade contractors are unable to resolve humidity, temperature, indoor condensation, pressurization and other issues, the solution often requires field engineering. We perform thorough investigations, using state of the art techniques and equipment, to identify and resolve complex issues that involve multiple building systems.
Indoor Environmental Quality in the COVID era
We perform indoor environmental quality assessments to advise clients of their compliance status with applicable codes and standards, and to develop measures to achieve and sustain same. As post-COVID guidelines and standards evolve, we stay abreast of updates and are able to develop compliance pathways to protect building occupants and owners. We test conditions, utilize ASHRAE calculation tools, and can develop the correct policies and procedures to document compliance. Our objectives are to improve the employee comfort and resultant satisfaction and productivity, as well as reduce client risks and liabilities in the event of workplace injuries.
Energy Audits and Projects
We benchmark and rate buildings using Energy Star or ASHRAE systems, to provide building owners and prospective buyers an understanding of how an asset compares to a peer group. If more detailed energy analysis is required, we can perform ASHRAE compliant energy audits. Low/no cost and high ROI projects performed in the past include controls optimization and VFD upgrades to pumps and fans.
